Simplify your vehicle list

We understand that too many vehicle manufacturers to choose from can make adding new vehicles harder than it should be. To make your work easier, you can now exclude the manufacturers you don’t service. When you add new vehicles, you’ll only see the manufacturers that matter to you, making the process much faster and more efficient.

To configure your manufacturers, look for the vehicles section in the left-hand menu of the settings.

Advanced filtering for quick selection

A new feature makes adding vehicles even easier. The dropdown menus for selecting the manufacturer, model, and year now come with a smart filter. Just type the first few letters of your search to quickly display matching results. Use the up and down arrow keys to navigate through them!

Add your own manufacturers and models

To better fit your specific needs, Mechmate now lets you add manufacturers or models that aren’t in our database. It’s simple: type the name of the manufacturer or model you want in the corresponding dropdown, then click the Add button that appears when no match is found. Your new manufacturer will be available right away.

Work order numbering

Mechmate now lets you customize your work order numbering. This new option gives you the ability to set a starting number for all your new work orders. For example, you can start at 2024001 for the year 2024, letting you align the numbering with your existing system or start a fresh series.

Once the starting number is set, Mechmate automatically generates the following numbers in sequence. And no need to worry - you can change this setting at any time without disrupting your existing work orders.
